Well... I guess I'm curious about what the agents' involvement in all of this was, anyway. They didn't seem to really interfere in anything; all I was told regarding their motivations was that their objective was to keep the game going.
They... oversee the game, but they only know what Hamelin knows. He can tell them a little more than he tells us, but they are not privy to who kills each week.
From what I can gather... [ She actually sighs here because it’s kind of annoying!! ] - their most prominent contribution is helping Hamelin compose the afflictions at the start of each week.
[ Would Riku still welcome her - after what happened yesterday? Hm. ]
You know I love Hamelin, Tenn. I can’t let him spend forever playing the villain against his will. And if he has to, if that’s the price he has to pay to save us, I can’t let him do that alone.
Hmm. So you're saying you'll probably end up going wherever he goes?
[ He doesn't seem too surprised by this, and there's a brief moment in which he looks a little disgruntled, but he ultimately ends up letting out a sigh and not arguing. ]
I would like to, but I don’t know if that’s possible.
[ ... ]
Once the magic of this place breaks, I don’t know if Fate will grab me again. Unlike the creature that made this place, unfinished and reeking of indolence, my world is fully fleshed out. The divine creature that controlled me is stronger than anything here. Careless enough to have let her slip through once, but likely not again.
I hope that you can break free of the chains that have been holding you down, and I hope that creature doesn't reach out to grab you again.
Even if it does, though... I'm glad you were able to meet people who accepted you as you are. You haven't walked an easy path, but your strength and perseverance have been commendable. So, for your sake, I hope that Hamelin is able to help you get away from all of that.
[ She glances at his covered mirror, frowns a little, then leans in to whisper in his ear. Her voice nearly soundless. ]
Beware of what your eyes perceive. She can turn her ragdolls into people you care about. I know not what it is you desire, but she knows it full well and will exploit the cracks in your heart. Her power... lies in button eyes.
I'm in a group called TRIGGER, and there are three of us in it. Myself, Yaotome Gaku, and Tsunashi Ryunosuke. Gaku...he's hot-headed and really stubborn, but he's a very earnest person. Ryuu is kind and has a good heart. Gaku and Ryuu are misunderstood, though, because people see them in a certain way and don't realize they're the complete opposite of what their images suggest.
[ He misses them a lot, and there's a lot of fondness that leaks through his voice. It's definitely a common theme with TRIGGER, though -- being seen one way and actually being someone entirely different. Tenn counts. ]
I'd consider them my closest friends, back at home.
No, I didn't. The idol industry is a little different than what you're probably used to.
Agencies recruit people who have potential, and you go through an audition process. Once that process is done, they place you into a group with other people. I didn't even know Gaku and Ryuu up until they put me with TRIGGER.
[ Yeah. It's...interesting, to say the least? ]
I started formally training under a man named Kujo Takamasa when I was thirteen.

[ Something about all that just doesn’t... fit. ]
And they were the one who labeled them traitors in the first place?

[ ...COCO IS A MORON, NEWS AT 10 😂 ]
I don't really remember, to be honest.
no subject
That’s fine. We still have time to make sense of it all.
[ Maybe never mind the meta text earlier, maybe not!! ]
Do you have any questions for me, so far?

[ That. Explains so much. ]
Jack-san's a musician, so that makes sense. ... Is McGillis-san one, too?
no subject
Um... I don’t know if it has anything to do with being a musician.
[ Maybe more to do with watching them struggle to even walk properly and having a good laugh about it. Sigh! Villains. ]

[ NO MORE TENNCARE FOR YOU, MCGILLIS -- ]
Incredible.

I wonder if we will have another song next week, but I doubt it... I think we are truly near the end at last.
no subject
But it does feel like we're near the end, doesn't it?

I'm glad you're still here, you know. And my offer to you still stands -- the one about going home with Riku and I.

Tenn looks at the mirror as Yuri says this, wrinkles his nose, and then looks at Yuri with a nod.
Just as quietly: ]
I won't let that happen to me. I know Riku would be upset if I mistook a phony for his real self.
no subject
Trust the strength of your heart. Hm. I think that's everything? Anything else, we can probably bring up with the others at a later time.
[ Unless there's anything else he wants to tell her in private. ]
no subject
[ He's glad he gets a head's up, at least, because that sure is a warning alright.
But...since she's here, he looks at her a little more thoughtfully. ]
Since you've told me so much about yourself, Yuri-san, if there's anything you want to know about me, you can ask.
no subject
I'd like to know anything. Will you tell me about... your friends at home?
