Why am I not even surprised? [But he's not going to waste more of his breath on Hamelin.] I'm sorry he put ya in such a spot, Tenn. We'll find a workaround though, I'm sure of it.
[Maybe if they find the box, they can use it as leverage or something. It's not like Hamelin was playing fair in the first place!
Anyway, moving onto the traitor stuff... He can't help but scoff.]
So he's got a list of people he'd try ta exploit on top of his traitors? Figures. Well, I can tell ya fer sure that I ain't got any interest. His blackmail would have ta be pretty significant. And even then...
[And even then...what? He doesn't seem to finish that train of thought aloud.]
[ Tenn gives him a little smile at that. He's grateful for Raven's help, and he lets out a quiet sigh of relief before his expression turns firm. Time to discuss the traitors. ]
I figured you wouldn't be the type.
[ ...He's tempted to ask Raven to finish that train of thought, actually. ]
Even what?
[ He's not trying to be accusatory! He just wants to make sure they can share as much as they can since he firmly believes they're on the same side. ]
[ Hm… that look seems important but he will ask about it later. ]
I send them a note every week with information from our side along with whatever else I want to tell them. The only way they can communicate back is through the notes we find every week.
There’s no private channel on their end, so I’ve asked them to be careful with what they say. I can’t be found out, for obvious reasons.
Yes. Ever since people brought up the idea of fairy interference -- or even interference from someone among our group -- I've been thinking of ways to get them to verify their notes. Last week, it was aliases. This upcoming week, I'm asking them to add a heart next to their aliases.
[ It's so dumb, Raven, but this is what Tenn wants them to do!! ]
Any one of us could have picked up on the aliases from this past week. Only the dead would know to add that heart. I doubt all of them will listen, given how some of them can be; but if at least a few of them do, then it'll prove that the notes can be trusted.
[ Continuing off of that: ]
I usually write back to them on Thursdays or Wednesday nights, since they send us their messages during the day. Plus, we normally have meetings during those days, so I like to send the dead the information we've compiled as well.
Well, at least we'll know the dead love those of us who ain't traitors. Or somethin'.
[He's amused by the idea! But also a little weirded out still. That probably won't change.]
Sounds like a good arrangement, though. And it sounds like they've been findin' stuff on their end too, with all these hints they keep droppin'. Have you been able ta get any insight on that from yer end? Or are you just gettin' what the rest of us are from them?
[ THEY'D BETTER...after their all their hard work!! ]
I'm only getting what the rest of you are. They don't have any other way to communicate back to me, though my source who's going back and forth between us told me that they are holding meetings to try and discuss everything they can. It sounds like they've been working hard.

Even then, my allegiance is already with someone else. I'm workin' with someone outside of Hamelin's little game.

You, too?

I’ve been talking with the dead.

So they really are out there. [Wow, he sure hates it.] How...exactly are you doin' this?

How do ya know it's them for certain? I know ya seemed certain of Riku's presence before, but didja ask him something only he would know, or...?

[ But there’s more: ]
Remember how some of them signed their notes last week? For example, “Shiori”?
That’s because I asked them to.
no subject
Yeah, I remember. So you've been doin' yer own little tests with 'em too. Good.
[He nods, reaffirming his confidence in the situation now.]
All right, I believe you. So when's yer next correspondence with 'em?

[But musing aside, he tips his head a little.]
So this source of yours- what're they like?
